LOCAL FLORIST RECEIVES COVETED INDUSTRY DESIGNATION

Frank J. Feysa, a resident of Aurora, Ohio and owner of Garden Gate Florist in Streetsboro was awarded into the floral industry's most coveted Accredited in Floral Design designation, and inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) during ceremonies at AIFD's internationally acclaimed Symposium held July 2002 in San Diego, California.
A non-profit education association dedicated to the advancement of professionalism and the art of floral design, AIFD accredited membership is regarded as a high honor in the floral industry. Members are distinguished by the use of the "AIFD" mark as an addendum to their name.
With approximately 1,300 members worldwide, AIFD recognizes those who have excelled in their floral design skills. Candidates become accredited by successfully demonstrating their advanced abilities before an international panel of evaluators.
Frank was the only member inducted from Ohio in 2002. International inductees included individuals from Japan, Korea, China, Britain, Australia and Canada.
Frank has been involved in the floral industry for the past 24 years and also has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hiram College. Garden Gate Florist will be moving to a larger location at the end of October. The new store will be located at 9523 State Route 14 in Streetsboro.
